My 14 year old son has developed bronchitis. Does bronchitis turn to pneumonia?

Left to progress, bronchitis can definitely lead to pneumonia. Seek treatment soon please. Depending on the age of your son, there are varying causes for the bronchitis and pneumonia.

Can, but not always. Bronchitis is infection in the tubes that feed air into the lungs, pneumonia is infection in the actual lungs. They can occur independent of each other, but a bad untreated bronchitis can lead to pneumonia.
