“Does pancreatitis cause gas?”
I am a 16 year old female. I want to know if pancreatitis causes gas?

Pancreatitis can cause a decrease in certain proteins that help you digest fat in the diet and too much fat can cause some gas problems. Therefore, it can be beneficial sometimes to lower the fat content in your diet if you suffer from pancreatitis.
No, there should not be any direct relationship between pancreatitis and gas (meaning flatulence?). The belly can become distended by pancreatitis but this is not caused by gas.
That’s not a common symptom for acute pancreatitis.
