ā€œFood intolerance?ā€

I have had IgG testing and have several levels 2 and 3 food intolerances. I was told to avoid dairy, peanuts, corn, eggs, etc. my question is, what about baked goods that may be dairy-free but contain eggs. Should those be avoided too?

Food intolerances are a sign of inflammation in the gut and aren't always true issues with the food. You should do your best to avoid the foods on the list for now, however, ultimately, you want to be working with someone who specializes in gut health. In the long run, you should be able to tolerate most of these foods fine with the right intervention. Feel free to schedule a 15-min free phone consultation with our team to discuss your needs. Hello,
It depends on how sensitive you are to eggs. Since you are just intolerant to the egg, eating smaller amount may not cause much discomfort. It would be a good idea to monitor how you feel after you eat foods (baked goods) with eggs added to them. If symptoms occur, then avoid it. I hope that helps.

Hi! Thanks so much for your question. The IgG test can be used to help us navigate any symptoms you're having- it's not necessary and end-all-be-all. It might be helpful to keep a food and symptoms journal and test out eliminating ONE thing at a time. If you have a strong reaction to eggs- that would mean ALL eggs, in any form, baked goods included. Here is a link with some great tips on substituting eggs in baked goods: https://www.thepioneerwoman.com/food-cooking/cooking-tips-tutorials/g33584750/egg-substitute/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=arb_ga_pw_md_pmx_hybd_mix_us_18891731492&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoeGuBhCBARIsAGfKY7wY-Y7FVq6P-4-l7pKp02XolHyvdeRUIATdH_2BoL8XvWR21mXkMRgaAvifEALw_wcB If you need more support on navigating these food sensitivities, please reach out and we can work together.
