Neurologist Questions Neurologist

Headache/upset stomach

Getting headaches every single day. I’m always taking Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Excedrin Migraine for pain. Nothing seems to be working anymore. Tried essential oils and tried drinking a lot of water. Nothing is helping much. Sleepless night. Stomach has been very upset today due to headache.

You need to see a headache specialist or Neurologist.  Recommend detailed history and physical exam along with MRI of the head and possibly further testing to then consider prophylactic medications and try other abortive ( symptomatic) analgesic medications.  Good luck. Well depending on what else you tell me about the headache, it will give me a better picture of what type it may be. Not all headaches are the same and not all headaches are fixed with Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Excedrin Migraine. Some headaches are even caused by using those medications, which is referred to as a rebound headache. You just need a good Neurologist, who can work with you to help figure out your headache type and then treat it accordingly. I hope that helps answer your question. Regards, Dr. A

You need a neurological assessment and likely a daily prescription medication which is used to prevent the headaches, rather than using multiple and frequent over the counter pain medication.
