Hive-like rashes?

I have been getting hive-like rashes every day for a week. They spread really fast and itch and sometimes burn. I mostly get them at night but have been getting them during the day even when I shower. Before this week I would get these hives on and off and I am not sure what they are or what causes them.

It sounds like you may have chronic hives, which are red, itchy rashes that come and go. They can happen for many reasons.

Possible Causes:
Allergies – Food, pollen, pet hair, or skin products.
Heat or sweat – Can trigger hives, especially after a shower.
Stress – Can make hives worse.
Soaps or detergents – Some products can irritate the skin.
Unknown reasons – Sometimes, the cause isn’t clear.
What You Can Do:
Try an antihistamine (like cetirizine or loratadine) to help with itching.
Use gentle, fragrance-free soap and lotion.
Take cool showers instead of hot ones.
Don’t scratch – It can make it worse.
Write down what you eat and do to see if something triggers it.
If the hives don’t go away, get worse, or come with swelling or trouble breathing, see a doctor fast. If you need expert help, Irvine Skin is here. Call us or visit Irvine Skin for a consultation.
