An appendix problem is an acute severe and serious problem that requires surgery most of the time. Appendicitis manifests as pain in the right lower quadrant of the abdomen that could radiate to the right groin. It is associated with fever, nausea, vomiting, and occasional diarrhea. There's no such thing as chronic appendicitis. Consult with your doctor. If your symptoms are severe and acute, go to the ER.
Appendicitis is an acute problem causing pain, usually in the right lower abdomen (R lower quadrant). It is an acute condition requiring surgery. The pain can only get worse and surgery is urgent before it ruptures, causing peritonitis, which can be life threatening. Stomach pain is very different.

Your doctors would know how to diagnose appendicitis
Appendix pain comes from acute appendicitis, which tends to be severe, sudden onset, and is located in the right lower quadrant. Most people need to go to the ER because the pain is intense. A CT scan can help make the diagnosis. If your pain doesn't sound like this, then it's not your appendix.
You get symptoms of abdominal pain in the right lower abdomen with change in bowel habit. Sometimes the pain radiates to your umbilicus. You may have symptoms of erratic bowel habit in association with this. If you develop a fever or nausea or vomiting, then it’s an emergency and requires urgent evaluation.
