How do you manage high blood pressure?

I am a 63 year old male. I want to know how do you manage high blood pressure?

At your age, the GOAL for your BP long term would be keeping it under 135/85. If your BP is only mildy elevated, you can TRY exercise, wt loss, and salt avoidance. But if this not achievable within 3-6 months or so, and especially if your BP is running >150/90, then I would suggest trying medication.
To help improve blood pressure, cut back on your salt intake by limiting adding salt when cooking, and cutting back on salty foods like chips, deli meats, etc. You can also add some exercise, e.g., walking, jogging, biking as per your tolerance. Depending on how high your blood pressure is, you may also need to take medication.
