This should be addressed with your surgeon because it depends on the injury extent, type of surgery, and techniques used.
The best treatment for pain depends on the kind of surgery you have in the cause of the pain. Sometimes compression socks are helpful, sometimes anti-inflammatories are helpful, ice and elevation are often helpful
Pain after surgery is a normal part of healing, depending on type and duration. Rest, ice and elevation usually helps. I recommend you discuss with your ankle surgeon if pain id normal or something else
Most pain will go away eventually, but swelling is usually the main reason a lot of people continue to have pain. So try elevating the foot a lot above heart level and also icing will help. There is also compression socks if the surgery was a few months ago.
Depends what surgery is performed. The pain lasts a few months which depends on the weight and location.
Ice, elevation above heart level, follow your doctor's recommendation with regard to weight-bearing, and as a last resort pain medication which can include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, Tylenol and narcotic pain medications.
Hello,
After ankle surgery a local anesthetic block is normally in place that can last for 6-8 hours. Normally narcotics are prescribed along with NSAID's for pain management. Ice packs can also be used to be applied proximal to the surgical site.

Pain after ankle surgery is relieved as all surgery pain is alleviated-using Non-sterioidal anti-inflammatory medications, as well as using narcotic pain relievers. But it is very dependent on what type of surgery and what pathology you have, what procedures are performed by the surgeon. There are many types of ankle surgery.
This is something you should discuss with your surgeon. Physical therapy may be helpful. If you have lost motion an orthotic may be appropriate. Your surgeon would be best qualified to answer this as he/she knows what was done and why.
Hello
I would try topical Voltaren gel or CBD rub. Other than that, make sure your pain is not due to CRPS, which is common after surgery.

There is no easy answer to your question as it is multi-factorial and depends on how your body responds to each of those. My recommendation is to seek a local PT for a consultation. Good luck.
