Not sure what you mean by colic in adults. If you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome then you will need to see a specialist first for proper long term management.
If by colic you mean crampy pain originating from the colon, then reduce gas formation by reducing carbohydrates in the diet, or try antispasmotic meds such as dicyclomine and hyoscyamine
