This is an issue or question that should be discussed with the surgeon who is performing the surgical procedure on the ankle. However, how soon you will be able to run on it will be dependent on what is done surgically at the ankle.
That is usually determined by the doctor who performed your surgery.
There are many different ankle surgeries. The amount of fixation that must be placed in the ankle will depend on how long you have to remain non weightnbearing.
It depends on the type of surgery and the amount of repair that is necessary. I suggest you ask your ankle surgeon.
That depends on the type of surgery you are having done.
3-4 months after on average
Depends on your surgery( arthroscopic , reconstruction) but usually 2 months after.
It Depends on the surgery. Ask your Dr. :)
Hi this all depends on the type of surgery and how you are recovering. Soft tissue takes 4-6 weeks and bone 6-8. I would recommend physical therapy after to help regain some strength and balance, then slowly return to running.
That depends on what type of surgery you’ve had. That is something you should discuss with your surgeon.
This will depend on procedure and recovery. I recommend you discuss with the surgeon
Running is important to you sounds like, I get it, running is a healthy activity that is also a benchmark of your progress. After surgery, there are many benchmarks that show doctors' and patients' progress; such as walking, putting the leg down, stretching, swelling, inflammation, fitting your shoes, etc...So I would talk to your doctor who will do your surgery on this, set a timeline and goals, and set expectations or general framework for the entire recovery process.
