The timeline for swimming is ultimately up to your surgeon. This will depend largely on the severity of injury and how complicated the ankle surgery was. Swimming and water aerobics can be an integral part of the Physical Therapy and rehabilitative process.
It depends on the type of surgery and the way in which the incisions were closed. Usually two to three weeks but some minimal incision procedures are only one weekyou need to ask your surgeon.Kathleen Neuhoff, DPM Sent from the all new AOL app for iOS
It depends on what type of surgery you Have. With arthroscopic it could be a few days, and with open surgery it could be up to 6 weeks

Hi! This depends on what type of procedure, but I typically allow my patient in a pool as long as their incision has healed and there are no open wounds. No kicking off a wall.
Follow your surgeon’s advice and make sure you’re healed to his satisfaction prior to any activity.
Depends on procedure performed but likely cannot get the stitches wet for at least 3-4 weeks
This answer depends on what type of surgery was done, how was it done, who did it, and how you are progressing in the recovery process. please address this with your surgeon.
