After about 2 weeks from a rhinoplasty, your nose will look normal. However, it may feel firm or swollen for up to one year.
The average rhinoplasty patient will see the end result at 12 to 18 months minimum. This is primarily due to swelling and the maturity of scar tissue formation. If you’d like to further discuss in a virtual consultation direct message me on Instagram @DrDaddyK
Most patients feel like they are "back to normal" at about 4-6 weeks, but your nose will continue to heal over the next year. I tell my patients at about 3 months they'll likely stop noticing changes when they look in the mirror, but if you compare a picture at 3 months, 6 months, 12 months after surgery you'll see subtle differences.
1 -2 weeks.
For the first 7 to 8 days a splint will be put on the nose. It takes about 8 weeks to be able to retake all normal activities.
I appreciate your concerns, however it may take as long as 3 to 6 months before your nose feels and reacts normally. While much of the swelling will resolve after 3 to 6 months, it can take as long as one year for all swelling to resolve and achievement of your full final result. Stay patient and positive and continue to stay in touch with your board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
