From the time you are at the table and the scanning starts to the time it stops....under 6 minutes
It should take 30- 45 minutes
CT scan of the liver with contrast takes about 40 minutes. This includes 20 minutes for the test and 20 minutes for preparation. A contrast material is given as oral and IV. The use of contrast can help the radiologist distinguish normal from abnormal conditions.
