It depends on the patient, but I usually tell my patients 7-10 days. A lot of practice helps. I recommend reading out loud or talking to yourself…

~Hello,
That is a very good question!! There is definitely an acclimation period,
and each individual is different. Take you time with wearing your dentures,
and consult with your dentist frequently as adjustments may be necessary.
Best of luck!

First set of dentures might take up to 10 days to adjust with a speech and salivation changes. Prolonged problems with” s “sound might point to a incorrect position of the front teeth in the the base of the denture. In this case contact your provider.
As with anything, it varies depending on the time and effort put in. It will be strange but within a week of constantly wearing them you will find out what you can overcome and what you may need additional assistance with. Adjusting to speaking will improve over the next few months. If anything feels painful or you see an ulcer contact your dental professional for further instructions.
You should return to your dentist for some adjustments as needed. If your teeth are set in the correct positions you shouldn't have any problem saying things like "sixty-six" and "fifty-five ". It is normal to need a certain amount of adjustments in the first couple of weeks.
It could take a couple of days to weeks but most importantly try practicing in front of a mirror.
