Recovery from uncomplicated hernia surgery is multi-factorial: it will depend on the size of the defect, whether it is performed with a tissue or mesh repair, whether it is one sided or bilateral. Time to maximal healing is 6 weeks so give yourself at least that much time to back to your regular activities.
