The most painful surgeries in plastic surgery are sub muscular breast augmentation and abdominal plasty. The least painful are the facial procedures such as Eyelidplasty, rhinoplasty, and facialplasty. Liposuction is somewhere in the middle. Pain is moderate, but usually not severe.
The procedure is usually outpatient, meaning you go home after recovery. It can also vary as to how many areas are being auctioned. Basically, it is accepted if the results please the
patient. Also, the areas are injected before they are suctioned. This means you have some comfort before this wears off. Overall, it is accepted very well.
I would describe liposuction as the least delicate operation I perform with some of the most dramatic results. It is a bruise. The first two days are the worst. I am impressed at what can be accomplished with 1/4" incisions.
