How soon can you walk after microfracture surgery?

I will have microfracture surgery. I want to know how soon can you walk after microfracture surgery?

I assume this is for the knee. For my patients with knee injury requiring arthroscopic microsurgery, I recommend 6 weeks of nonweightbearing if possible or otherwise at least partial weightbearing.
Depends on micro fracture hip or knee. Usually 6-8 weeks before weight bearing on operated side.

Crutches and non weight bearing for 8 weeks.
I would ask the doctor performing your surgery. It depends on the size of the injury and where it is located.
