“I have small boils developing around my gums. What could they be?”
I have noticed small boils that have developed around my gums, and they're a little painful. What could they be from?

Open lesions at the level of the gum are probably local irritants below the gum line as a result of calcified plaque and they need to be curated to keep from furthering the infection precipitating bone loss around the tooth that they are adjacent to. Your dentist will probe this area gently and recommend lavage with an expectorant black mouthwash as well as possibly an antibiotic once the irritant is removed.
