My dog's paw is swollen. Is a swollen paw an emergency?

No, however, if the swelling doesn't reduce in the next 2-3 days and you don't see anything (like a grass awn) that could have induced the swelling and can be manually removed, then I would recommend taking your dog in to see their primary care doctor.
