yes. I encourage you to book a session with your practitioner of choice to get help with relief.
Yes acupuncture, herbs, and massage can treat hyper or hypothyroidism for good, it will take you awhile to get rid of this!
It can help in conjunction with other therapies, Western and holistic.

Acupuncture can balance your body's systems, but it won't cure hypothyroidism. I would strongly recommend that you get tested for Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which is an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid and causes hypothyroidism, but is not a thyroid disease and, therefore, is treated slightly differently. For instance, you take the same drugs, but iodine, which is good for thyroid disease, makes Hashimoto's worse. Also, you need to be gluten and dairy free with Hashimoto's. Unfortunately, doctors don't test for this disease which accounts for nearly 80% of cases of hypothyroidism.
Yes, acupuncture is good for hypothyroidism.
I do a fair amount of work with both hypothyroid patients and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Much will depend on what, exactly, is going on, but hypothyroidism is a case where you'll want to combine acupuncture with conventional medicine. Hypothyroid and Hashimoto's also almost always have a diet/lifestyle component. Your ability to get traction on this issue, whatever the treatment, is going to have a dependency on your ability to adjust your diet/lifestyle into a space that's better for your thyroid.
