hospice is a service with intention to improve and maintain quality of life of the person as long as it can be maintained. with an understanding that eventually person is going to decline and die as a part of natural process.
hospital care is typically designed with keeping the person alive approach.
if quality of life is more important than quantity of life in terminally ill patient then hospice is better choice.
