Is it better to stop diarrhea or let it go?

I am a 33 year old female. I want to know if it is better to stop diarrhea or let it go?

Best way is to treat underlying cause. Go see a Gi specialist.
You need to first find out the cause.
I would say it is best to let it go.
In most cases, it won't matter. Most acute infectious diarrheas will improve on their own, but it's okay to slow down the diarrhea with imodium, e.g. A more chronic diarrhea, lasting 3 weeks or more, is certainly okay to treat and try to slow down. It's very hard to "stop" a diarrhea completely with any medications. If a diarrhea doesn't get better on its own, then it's okay to treat it. People tend to exaggerate the risks of treating a diarrhea.
