“Is it better to take folate or folic acid when pregnant?”
I am a 28 year old female. I want to know if it is better to take folate or folic acid when pregnant?

Some patients may have a gene mutation that may not metabolize the folic acid. It is called MTHFR gene mutation. Those patients are highly recommended to take folate.
