“Is it ever too late to start flossing?”
I am a 31 year old female. I want to know if it is ever too late to start flossing?

Yes, after teeth have fallen out, it's too late. Until then, floss your teeth daily. Proper flossing is still the best way to prevent gum disease. It's the gum disease that causes bone loss around the teeth and leads to loose teeth, gum recession, bad breath, bleeding gums, and eventually tooth loss. Not necessarily in that order, but you get the picture--it's not pretty.
No, it is never too late to start flossing, though your effectiveness may be less if there are ongoing issues that have not been addressed by a dentist.
It is NEVER too late to start flossing! Well, maybe once you have dentures, then it might be too late.

If you are about to have your last teeth removed then yes. Other than that flossing is usually a good habit to start.
