“Is this a miscarriage? ”
I was late for my period by three days after I had unprotected sex while I ovulated. My period did eventually come. The next month I had something really odd come out and I’m wondering if it could be something from a miscarriage? It could just be old blood but two came out looking almost black. Your professional opinion?

Not likely if your pregnancy test was negative, it could have been endometrial tissue or something called an endometrial cast that could look like a pregnancy.
Actually likely to have been a “chemical pregnancy “ I hate using the term “miscarriage “ for that. Has an EXCELLENT prognostic sign for the future though.
Thanks for your question. It is important to be certain if you were pregnant or if the pregnancy was confirmed. Given this was not stated, it will be difficult to say this was a miscarriage though is not unlikely. It is important to discuss this with your ob/GYN to investigate this further.
