Low body temp with abscess infection?

I've had an abscess on my gums for a week, and my body temperature has only been around 97.5 for two days.

Your body temperature doesn't sound like a concern, but you should get the abscess checked out by a dentist as soon as possible.
That body temperature is still in the normal range. See your dentist if your gum condition does not improve in a few days.
Go to your dentist or an oral surgeon to have the abscess drained and the source of the infection eliminated.
Severe acute infections can sometimes cause fever, draining abscesses however are typically from chronic infections. A decrease in body temperature is unrelated to your dental infection.
