diamox, topamax are some options - they can cause weight loss
Diamox is the mainstay of treatment. Cortisone medication can be used as a short-term treatment when loss of vision is imminent. Other diuretics like Lasix can be used, but are not as effective. Surgery aimed at preserving vision is a last resort, but is effective. Weight loss is advisable, since it can improve or eliminate the problem.
