Missed Period?

Is it normal to not get my period for 2.5 months? I am a breastfeeding mom.

It is normal to be irregular or no periods during lactation.
Yes, breastfeeding prevents you from having a period due to hormones released with breast feeding and this is very normal. Still use contraception to prevent pregnancy since you might start ovulating and you do not want an accidental pregnancy.

Generally, lactation delays onset of menses after child birth. What is referred to as lactation amenorrhea. Much as it is not a reassuring contraceptive method, a pregnancy test can be performed to rule out pregnancy at any rate. Use of extra precaution such as other contraceptive methods - the pill, condoms, intra-uterine devices - should be considered.
