Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)

My ear is leaking blood badly?

I got hit really hard the day before yesterday in my ear and I immediately lost my hearing and it hasn't come back. Well, it's been leaking this clear/bloody liquid for over 48 hours now, it's not that I'm in a lot of pain I'm just concerned cus I can't get the leaking to stop so I'm not real sure exactly what damage has been done other than the constant blood leakage and no hearing out of at all since it happened. What do I need to do is it serious enough to go to the er or will it eventually go away and my hearing return?

Sorry for the late response. I suspect you have an eardrum perforation. It may heal on its own, but it would still be good to see an Ear, Nose, and Throat physician.
You definitely need to see an ENT physician. A thorough history and examination is warranted. If the situation permits, a hearing test should be done as well at that visit. Further prognostication is difficult without this information.

Sorry, I should’ve specified that your appointment should be with an otolaryngologist, or ENT specialist.
Get an exam of your ear, and a CT scan to check for trauma. Tympanic MEMBRANE PERFORATION OR INNER EAR DAMAGE.
It is important that you go see an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist right away. Call and ask for an appointment as soon as possible due to an injury, explaining that you have clear liquid draining from your ear. It is something that should not wait.
