“My girlfriend has pain after her shoulder blade popped?”
My girlfriend has been lifting carpet rolls and complained of pain in her right shoulder blade. She said something popped, and has severe pain and can't move her arm.

Complaint duration: 3 days , popped today.
Medications: None
Conditions: Gallbladder problems

Popping can be either a tear of the cartilage or a rotator cuff in the shoulder. She needs to see an orthopedic surgeon for examination and a possible MRI of that shoulder.
She needs an x-ray!

There are over 20 muscles that attach to the scapula. A partial muscle tear is the most likely injury. However, if the pain is severe it warrants medical attention.
May have popped shoulder blade nerve.Massage may help.If no help see an orthopedic surgeon.
