I do it myself, through Request a Test, online. My GFR is 55 Low, my Creatinine is 1.29 High I am experiencing muscle pain, low back pain, I have had pain in the right side Kidney area and lots of itching, the symptoms come and go.
One time about 3 weeks ago I had sharp severe pain in the right side, it lasted only seconds, then sore ribs. I can't get into see my doctor for two weeks. Should I go to an emergency room to be evaluated?

Regarding urgency: maybe best to check into the emergency room to get a CT scan of the abdomen looking for stones or other problems.
I think the best way to go since this problem seems to be progressive and worsening is to see a nephrologist. I don’t know that going to the ER will add any more to your predicament and pain. It is time to see a specialist.
Low BUN is related to not eating enough protein. Eating less protein protects your kidneys long term, but should not be extreme. As far as pain is concerned, kidney disease usually does not cause pain unless it is polycystic kidney disease or a kidney stone, or an infection. As long as pain is short lived and there is no fever, you can probably wait 2 weeks to see your doctor. If the pain is severe and persistent, you should go to an emergency room. You should also get a urinalysis done.
Short answer is not and emergent condition. Reviewing your numbers, your kidney function is adequate. Your BUN and Creatine is not abnormal, especially for your age group. Your symptoms are not related to your kidney.
Have a good day.
Low bun may be secondary to malnutrition, lack of protein in the diet, or from liver disease.Your CR is elevated and kidney function on the low side. Regarding the pain, not sure whether you have any kidney stone or it may be musculoskeletal pain. You can wait 2 weeks for your appointment.
