My knee hurts. What could it be?

I had PCL reconstruction surgery 3 months ago. I was running and tried to stop and the outer side of my knee bumped the bumper & bent in. I was fine it's been almost a week and I'm barely feeling the pain and it is killing me. I play baseball and it hurts to run and sometimes walk. What could it be?

You could sprain your MCL with that type of mechanism. It could just be a contusion, but honestly…anything goes when it comes to a post op knee. I wouldn’t let my patients run that soon post op. See your surgeon!
Why are you running 3 months post-op on a PCL reconstruction? It’s odd that you had an isolated PCL injury. In many situations, there is another injury as well. Perhaps you have something in addition to the PCL injury that was missed.

I would strongly suggest you see your doctor who did your PCL surgery.
So are you feeling discomfort. The first thing you should do is to make sure you address these issues with the surgeon who did your surgery three months ago. It is still very early in your recovery. I will also inform your physical therapist what you are experiencing. I think they are in the best position to figure this out. That said, I would not be overly worried. A PCL takes significant time to recover
You need an MRI to evaluate.
