My little brother's eye?

My little brother's eye got swollen almost shut today and I was able to see that he has a hair in his eye but it was attached to a white string. I want to make sure if I can pull it out or leave it like that.

Your brother may have an eye infection or a foreign body in his eye. May I
suggest that he see his eye doctor or go to his primary doctor or even the
emergency room. He may need an antibiotic.
You can pull it out but you just have to be careful not to scratch his eye. It would be best to take him in to see an eye doctor so that they can numb his eye and remove the hair while also making sure that his cornea is not scratched. If his cornea is scratched, then they can prescribe an antibacterial ointment to be used for a few days to help with pain and make sure he doesn't get an infection.
Unless he was injured, you can probably take it out carefully

You can rinse it with a physiological serum that you can buy from the pharmacy, and ask the pharmacist to give antiseptic eyedrops to put in his eye three times daily for five days. If the swollen persists you have to see an eye doctor.
Generally speaking it's OK to remove foreign matter from the eye unless it
is embedded/ impaled. You are sweet to want to help your brother, but he
should really be seen by an eye doctor pronto, even if you got the hair out.
