“Numbness?”
Topamax dose just got upped to 50mg BID. I have started to have numbness and tingling in my face and left arm. Is this a normal side effect because if the dose increase? I do know the numbness and tingling in the hands and feet are a side effect.

It could be a side effect but I would recommend letting your physician know to make sure there are no other potential causes, especially if the numbness and tingling is only occurring on one side.
Yes, talk to your prescribing physician about reducing dose and going up slowly or switching medications.
