“Should I drink hot or cold after tooth extraction?”
I had a tooth extraction this morning. I want to drink water. Should I drink hot or cold after tooth extraction?

Cold is best. Hot may increase bleeding, but not ice cold.
Try to avoid hot drinks as it will increase blood flow to the extraction site. Stick with colder beverages for the next 24-48 hours.
After a tooth extraction, avoid hot drinks. You may resume hot drinks within 48 hours after extraction. Hot drinks can impede the healing process.
