“Should I go to the emergency room for heartburn?”

You should certainly try an antacid first. Like Maalox, Tums, or something similar. That should give you some immediate relief it it is heartburn. If that doesn't help and If indigestion or radiation to the neck or arms occurs, then you should go to the ER.
