Skin irritation

9 yr old daughter popped an ice pack at school by accident and liquid inside got all over her hands. They burned, but the school coordinator flushed her hands under water for about 15-20 minutes and skin was back to normal. No more redness or irritation. Just wondering if I should still take her to the hospital?

It sounds like your daughter had a minor burn from the liquid inside the ice pack. The fact that the redness and irritation went away after flushing the skin with water for 15-20 minutes is a good sign. As long as there is no ongoing pain, redness, or blistering, it's likely not serious.

However, it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on her skin for any delayed reactions, like blisters or swelling. If any of these occur, or if you're still concerned, it's best to consult a healthcare professional to make sure everything is okay.
