Small growth around toenail?

Over the last 2/3 weeks, a little skin growth is coming out from under the skin next to my toenail. I thought it was a skin tag and tried to cut it off. Lots of blood! Now it’s back and slowly growing. No pain yet.

That appears to be a periungual fibroma. You don't typically need to have these removed unless it is bothering you. As with anything, no one can be 100% sure based on a photo, if you have further concerns or it makes changes you should see a board certified dermatologist. If removal is attempted, recurrence is likely unless in seasoned hands. Damage to the matrix and/or proximal nail fold can occur with attempts at removal.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

Your growth could be a fibroma, pyogenic granuloma (collection of blood vessels), or a wart. Best to have removed by either a podiatrist or dermatologist who will first numb the area.
