“Spot/pimple on penis?”
Hi, I've got a spot/pimple on my penis for 3 days now and today it got a little painful.
I'm hoping it's only a pimple, as it showed up days after shaving, however I did receive oral and had protected sex before this showed up as well. So I'm worried about a potential STD. What would you think this is? Thank you in advance

It looks like a little tiny cyst. If it's not painful and does not change, you do not have to anything about it.
Any time a new lesion develops anywhere on the skin, that is also symptomatic, one must be concerned about contagion. A penile lesion that is painful must make one concerned about HSV. A clear history will help ie the type of protection during oral or genital sex, HSV can be passed with either type of sex. Hx of HSV must be asked about, PE should include palpation of inguinal lymph nodes, an antibody blood test for HSV might be helpful. Close f/u in a week to 10 days will help
