Tablets given before cat scan?

I was given 2 tablets to swallow before my head cat scan, and 2 tablets to take later that evening. What are they?

Most likely you have iodine allergy. Thus, a combination of steroid (Prednisone) and Benadryl (Anti-allergy) along with Pepcid is given prior to the procedure.
I believe it is N-acetylcysteine. This has been recently introduced to prevent ill-effect from the dye on the kidneys.
PROBALE STEROIDS , LESS LIKELY BENADRYL
Pre CT and posts pills are not anything that is given to patients. Seek out information from the team that imaged you as to what pills you were given both before and after a CT.
