“Thumb injury?”
I was pitching softball underhand with my daughters and felt a pinch in my thumb. I looked down and there’s a tiny blue spot. Did I just maybe burst a blood vessel? I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something more serious.

Not serious.
You are probably correct with your diagnosis. If your thumb is moving well and you are not having much pain then I think there is nothing to worry about. If the blue area enlarges in size or the thumb becomes more painful or you have difficulty moving it and then you should be evaluated by a medical professional.
That is probably correct. As long as there is no pain, you're fine.
