looks like a dislocated or mis aligned joint on the toe, need xrays to further examine this issue to come up with treatment plan, please call local podiatrist asap.
It could be from multiple issues and one should seek medical care for proper evaluation and treatment options, ie; bone spur, soft tissue mass, or some type of trauma current or past.
You need to get the toe x-rayed to see if it is bone, cartilage or a soft tissue mass.
I recommend evaluation by a foot specialist.
There is inflammation at the joint aka arthritis. There are many potential causes for arthritis. If you had no known injury which caused this see your primary care doctor or possibly a rheumatologist for a work-up. A podiatrist may consider a local steroid injection so long as the X-ray shows no contraindications to cortisol injection. To start with take any anti-inflammatories approved by your doctor (advil, motrin) and soak the foot in warm water and epsom salt.
I don’t see any bone sticking out in this photo, but it can happen. It comes from a bone spur under the toenail and can be removed surgically
Go see a podiatrist.

I can’t tell what you are referring to in the picture, but if there is a bone protruding, I would recommend seeing a foot specialist.
I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) to discuss options
Yes. You’ll likely need an X-ray to know exactly the issue, but it can be straightened.
With all due respect there is nothing you personally can do about it. You need to be examined and x-rayed to identify the problem. I recommend you consult with a Podiatric Surgeon who is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
An x-ray will need to be taken to further evaluate. If the growth is a spur, it can be respected.
Good morning. I would recommend having an x-ray taken. It is possible that there is a bony protrusion that may be present.

First steps are to get some X-rays and determine if this is soft tissue or bone related. Either can be shaved down or removed.
Surgery to remove it.
Hello,

The area will have to examined and possibly have an X-ray done.

If you have had an X-ray and the bone is prominent or of abnormal morphology, you may need an exostectomy to shave the bone down. Otherwise, if it is just prominent and not pushing on the nail, you can pad it with a toe pad.
You have a joint derangement at the Interphalangeal joint of your big toe, at least that is what is looks like on this photo. But I cannot honestly see if that is your big toe or one of your lesser toes. But the toe is 'bent' at the joint there. Conservatively, you can place toe separators or pads between the toes. But the only way to correct it and straighten it is to have it surgically corrected.
Hi,

The picture isn’t allowing me to see a bone popping out. However, if you feel that a bone is starting to pop out of your toe, it would be in your best interest to go to a podiatrist & have an X-ray done to evaluate it.
