Transvaginal ultrasound?

What does this mean from my transvaginal ultrasound...

"A 3.0 x 2.7cm relatively hypoechoic lesion is present in the left adnexa. This lesion contains internal echoes and a slightly thickened wall. No internal vascularity although there is some slight vascularity around the periphery..."

It says an endometrioma, teratoma, or malignancy would be less like because I had a clear CT scan 4 months ago but I've had high-grade lesions from having 14 high-risk types of HPV for the last year and a half. So I don't know if it could be related or maybe has made things worse? I don't think the radiologist knew the severity of my medical condition. My Dr didn't go into much depth as to what all this meant and she suggests surgery to remove this cyst, but if it's not serious why would she suggest surgery and she's just downplaying it?

Hypoechoic lesions are solid masses, ultrasound can only tell us so much but not clearly what it is. You are young and the cyst is small, unlikely to be cancer.
Removing and sending it to pathology will tell you what it is exactly.
Another option is to get pelvic MRI if you do not want to undergo surgery right away.
Take care!
It could be a simple cyst. If you are in the younger age range , unlikely to be a malignancy. Can’t totally rule out endometrioma but could be a simple cyst. A Ca125 blood test might be helpful. I think a f/u sono might be a consideration here unless the pain is severe.
