OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

Unsure what to do?

Hello. My partner and I had unprotected sex in the last week or so of November. I experienced a good amount of early pregnancy symptoms so we thought it was possible I was pregnant but I got a light period after a while so we assumed the symptoms were related to that. It was a bit unusual as I've never experienced those before my period nor is my period ever light but we chalked it up to that. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative (just in case) but we assumed MAYBE it was too early. A few days later, I took one again and it was also negative so we figured that I'm not pregnant. I became ill (or we thought I did) and so some of the nausea spells, fatigue, and headaches were chalked up to that however I am over the sickness and am still experiencing symptoms. I don't wanna go to the doctor if I don't need to as I'm uninsured and they're expensive. I don't have tender breasts or anything which is why we've also ruled out pregnancy. Is there anything else that can cause similar symptoms?

Lots of conditions can cause pregnancy symptoms and you still may not be pregnant – since the symptoms are vague it is impossible to tell what is going on. It is reasonable to recheck a pregnancy test periodically if the symptoms persist, and if they don’t go away, you’ll eventually need to see a doctor to get evaluated. You may search in your area for self pay medical clinics that may offer discounted care.
My best advice, go have a physician assess you thoroughly.
