What can cause false positive results for cocaine and Fentanyl on an umbilical cord drug screen? Also, what can cause amphetamines to come up as negative when I take Adderall on a daily basis? I can't figure out how this is possible for my son to test positive on his umbilical cord drug screen seeing as I don't use any illicit drugs. PLEASE help me figure this out. I don't use drugs and I don't want to lose my baby forever to the state. Thank you so very much, in advance.

False positive result is a term used to indicate a result suggesting a disease present when there is none and a negative false positive is the reverse.
