The short answer is probably. The likelihood of coronary artery disease depends on your age and risk factors and when the pains occur and the quality of the pain. Classic heart pain is a supply and demand problem and made worse with activity and relieved with rest. It is a pressure or fullness. It is usually not sharp or burning. Angina or heart pain is potentially life threatening. There are other conditions like esophageal spasm, reflux, peptic ulcer disease, hypertension, aneurysms all can cause chest pain that may also need treatment.
Anytime you have chest pain or pressure, you should see your PCP immediately so they can evaluate it and refer you to a cardiologist.

Chest pain can happen for many reasons. The most concerning reasons include cardiac or vascular pain. Other reasons include stomach or esophagus related pain, like indigestion and heart burn. Pain from the gall bladder or pancreas can sometimes radiate to the chest as well. And even musculoskeletal pain, including inflammation in the joints between the
chest bone and ribs, can cause pain. You should definitely consult your doctor for an evaluation.
