“What could this be and should I see a doctor?”
A year ago, my boyfriend noticed a raw pink patch of skin below my hair on the back of my neck. I never paid much attention to it until sometimes it itches, not often though. I scratched it in my sleep and now it seems flared and it’s brighter in color.

The pictures are tough to fully interpret. However, this is possibly psoriasis. An in-person visit with a Board Certified Dermatologist should get you a diagnosis and good treatment plan.
