Local anesthetics like ropivacaine or bupivicaine with or without additives such as dexamethasone, epinephrine, clonidine, dexmedetomidine are typically used.

Local anesthetics mostly with the occasional extra drug to make it last longer.
All drugs used for regional anesthesia are local anesthetics, the most common of which are lidocaine, bupivacaine, and ropivacaine. When given as a spinal or epidural anesthetic, these drugs must be preservative-free.
Hi,

The drugs used are called local anesthetics. The commonly used local anesthetics are Lidocaine, Tetracaine, and Bupivacaine.
