Pain is not normal, pain is a symptom of an internal problem. therefore, I don't recommend any exercises until the root cause is known. I recommend that you see a local podiatrist or orthopedic doctor to find out.
Before you pick an exercise, you need to know the cause of the pain. If the pain is caused by a chipped ankle bone, then exercise wouldn't be in your best interest.
Well, if you are having ankle pain, you should not be performing exercises. I recommend the traditional RICE therapy. Rest, ice, compression, and elevation. In addition I would recommend immobilization with a brace and a radiograph to rule out a fracture.
It depends on what pain you have, is it sharp, dull, achy, and where is it located on the ankle joint?
Proprioception exercises balance and work the ankle joint ligaments, and the range of motion of the ankle.
Stretching your calf and hamstring can really help ankle pain.
Ankle pain can have several causes. I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for diagnosis and treatment options
This completely depends on what is causing the ankle pain. There are potential causes of pain related to ligaments, tendons, cartilage, bone, nerves or other structures, and unless we have a diagnosis as to what pathology you are suffering from, it is impossible to tell you exercises to help with your pain and issues.
