For back pain? That’s called a chiropractor, acupuncturist or massage therapist. For preventing back pain, you can exercise to strengthen your back muscles.. this can include strengthening your core muscles of the abdomen and chest, arms and legs. Seek a good physical therapist, gym instructor who has the education in working with back ailments. Do not engage in an aggressive regime. Working too hard or too often, to attain the results early, will cause injury.
Tough question to answer because I know nothing about your condition. In most cases you shouldnt be exercising because exercise doesnt relieve low back pain. If you develop a cavity because you eat excessive amounts of sugar, stopping sugar intake wont fix your cavity. If you insist on exercising , abdominal strengthing through leg lifts and sit-ups along with back extension exercising are good primary exercises to start with. If they cause any pain whatsoever you should discontinue them. Jay H Schwartz, DC, DIBCN, DIBE
In all honesty this is a question that is too general. Why you have back pain will determine which exercises can help you. If you do the incorrect exercise it can make the problem worse. But, a simple effective stretch that is generally safe to try is the yoga pose - child's pose. I suggest having a doctor analyze what is wrong so specific exercises can be more beneficial.
